Sound biblical interpretation begins with a proper understanding of how language works. It also includes an appreciation for the discipline of translation. With this in view, RBS is offering a mini-module on “Linguistics, Bible Translation, and Hermeneutics.”

Seven lectures over 2 days will serve as part of the curriculum for RBS’s exegetical course on Hermeneutics. Students, graduates, and auditors are all welcome!

Immanuel Baptist Church of Sacramento will host the module and may be able to provide lodging for out-of-town students on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dr. Mark Ward is an Academic Editor at Lexham Press, a division of Faithlife, makers of Logos Bible Software. Mark is also an author who has recently published, Authorized: The Use and Misuse of the King Jame’s Bible. Learn more about Mark at his website.

Over two days, Mark will address the following topics in seven lectures:

  1. How Words Mean, Part 1: An Introduction to Linguistics
