March Module: Power & Purpose in Preaching

Dr. Conrad Mbewe of Zambia will give three lectures on preaching, the first addressing the necessity and nature of the Holy Spirit and preaching, and the two subsequent expounding the nature and manner of polemical preaching and evangelistic preaching. On Wednesday evening, Dr. Mbewe will preach an evangelistic sermon. The three lectures and sermon will serve as part of the curriculum for Reformed Baptist Seminary's course PT 611 Preaching & Teaching

Lecture Schedule

Tuesday, March 8th

  • 7:00 – 8:30pm “The Holy Spirit and Preaching”

Wednesday, March 9th

  • 3:00 – 4:00pm “Preaching Polemically”
  • 4:00 – 4:15pm Break
  • 4:15 – 5:15pm  “Preaching Evangelistically”
  • 5:45 – 6:45pm Dinner
  • 7:00 – 8:30pm Evangelistic Sermon

Grace Baptist Church of Taylors, South Carolina, will host the mini-conference and provide lodging and meals for a limited number of out-of-town students or auditors. GBC will serve dinner between the afternoon lectures and evening sermon on Wednesday night, from 5:45pm to 6:45pm.
