Well, she is back. Following her inaugural adventure a few years ago to introduce educators to the power of the Internet, Internet Jones returns to demonstrate how that power can transform the classroom experience.
In this adventure, Internet Jones vs. the River Killers!, our super heroine enlists her students and colleagues to confront an environmental crisis. As the crisis deepens and the classroom investigation takes on a sense of urgency, Internet Jones and her team use the Internet to facilitate collaboration, research and the sharing of results. But will they overcome the mighty River Killers???
Created by a team of educators and a professional cartoonist, this publication was designed specifically as a learning tool to support K-12 mathematics and science teachers' effective use of the Internet. It appeals to "children of all ages" with zero to moderate exposure to the Internet.
In addition to the storyline illustrated in full color, this 20-page book offers advice and resources for getting started with the online experience.
Although this book and its companion web sites can be used individually by anyone, RBS encourages their use within the context of a broad professional development program.
