Each of the 28 TIMSS public release mathematics lessons is abbreviated by the following convention:
The country name (see below), followed by the lesson number (1–4).
A = Australia C = Czech Republic HK = Hong Kong J = Japan N = Netherlands S = Switzerland US = United States
In instances that identify a particular clip, the format “C2 3:28–4:30” means the clip in Czech Republic lesson 2, from 3 minutes 28 seconds to 4 minutes 30 seconds.
