Description: RBS has provided long-term and intensive assistance to PS2 as the school pioneered implementing the lesson study approach to ongoing teacher professional development. In the process, RBS also has learned a great deal about lesson study in action. Specifically, RBS has:

Outcomes: PS2 has engaged in lesson study for six years, beginning with volunteers and evolving to school-wide practice of lesson study. The focus has been on mathematics, with a few lessons in science. PS2 has served as a model for other schools interested in implementing lesson study, and its open houses have played an important role in providing insight into lesson study at a U.S. school
