Description: RBS has helped to organize regular meetings of a DC team comprised of DC area organizations committed to improving mathematics and science education. The purpose of these meetings was to facilitate and support the exchange of information, sharing of resources, and provision of professional development opportunities.
Specifically, RBS has:
Outcomes: RBS convened regular meetings of the DC team to share information and resources in mathematics and science education. Through these meetings, other external partners were able to offer their services to DC Public Schools. In addition to convening the DC team, RBS has facilitated the participation of DCPS teachers in RBS-sponsored conferences. RBS staff also has served as consultant on DCPS task forces and grants application efforts.
