These surveys were developed by RBS to help schools gather reliable information about their performance in order to diagnose problems, identify strengths, and improve school operations.

There are three survey forms--one each for school staff, parents, and students. The survey content covers eight dimensions that are related to effective school performance and are modifiable:

• school climate
• leadership
• teacher behavior
• curriculum
• monitoring and assessment
• student discipline
• staff development
• parent involvement.

The surveys have been extensively field-tested and used successfully in many schools. They are brief and easy to administer (approximately 45 minutes for staff and 20-30 minutes for students and parents).

A scoring and interpretation service is available from RBS at $2.00 per form.
