aspexSPEX+, designed for grades 5-9, makes computer modeling easy. It helps students grasp 3D spatial concepts in a practical setting by moving and rotating items (e.g., furniture) and seeing how they relate to each other. All editing and designing are done in the @D Plan View. Items, such as furnishings, wall treatments, floor and wall colors, etc., are dragged and dropped into the Plan View from a palette of choices, and then rotated or positioned as desired or needed. Students can switch back and forth between 2D Plan View and the 3D View to judge if their designs are in line with what they had in mind. The 2D Plan View can be printed out at any time. SPEX+ also has a budget facility, which helps students learn about budgeting and handling money.
