Primer Math

The Primer Math Set is an excellent tool for building fundamental quantitative skills of elementary school students through active, constructive learning. The curriculum leads students through discovery-based, problem solving activities while building K-5 math skills. 28 lessons explore key concepts in: geometry and spatial sense including 2 & 3-D shapes; lines, segments, rays and angles; patterns and relationships; estimation and rounding; numeration; fractions; measurement; and more. Students work through "Build It" activities individually, in teams or as part of a whole class lesson to investigate concepts and then substantiate their understanding by answering "Think About It" assessment quetsions. Activities are coded for age, ability and time requiremetns. National Math Standards correlations are provided for each lesson plan.
