Learning Objectives
This webinar will introduce you to the theoretical basis of propensity score matching (PSM) and its applications. You will learn how to create statistically matched comparison groups using the following steps:
- importing and exporting data files between Excel and R,
- assessing the covariate balance before and after the matching,
- fitting a propensity score model to the data,
- estimating the program effect after the matching and assessing potential hidden bias(es).

To get the most out of this webinar, you are encouraged to take notes but NOT replicate the analyses during the session. You will be provided with the R code and data files needed to replicate the analysis after the webinar.
