RBS staffers Elena Kircheva and Eric Kucharik facilitated a pre-conference skill-building workshop at The 34th Eastern Evaluation Research Society Annual Conference on May 1, 2011. In the workshop, titled, "Excel Solutions for Critical Evaluation Tasks," Ms. Kircheva and Mr. Kucharik helped evaluators bridge the gap between what they know about Excel and what Excel can actually do for evaluators. Having spent years resolving common evaluation problems with novel Excel solutions, the presenters uncovered methods and routines that can save hours of work and add rigor to many evaluations. This workshop focused on functions and formulas that can be learned quickly and adapted easily to both common and unique evaluation problems.
