The Learning Forward Foundation is excited to offer several valuable grant and scholarship opportunities. These awards provide recipients opportunities to develop their expertise in leading professional learning within their schools and districts and to engage them in the broader Learning Forward community for ongoing professional collaboration and support.
Application deadline for the opportunities listed is March 15, 2011.
Learning Forward Affiliate Grant
The purpose of this grant is to provide a Learning Forward affiliate organization with the opportunity to further their work within their respective state/region/province. The grant, for up to $10,000, funds a multi-year project.
Principal as Bridge Builder Grant
The Principal as Bridge Builder Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Don Richardson and support the accelerating growth of a principal who has successfully led an underachieving school for two years. The grant will provide up to $10,000 over two years, to cover executive coaching, conference registration, and discretionary resources.
Learning Forward Team Grant
This grant supports teams in developing a professional learning project that advances Learning Forward's purpose. The recipient of this grant will receive up to $10,000 for the implementation of the project plan that may include three registrations to Learning Forward's Annual Conference.
Chidley Fund Academy Scholarships
This scholarship fund develops leadership in the field of professional learning by providing two scholarships annually for tuition to participate in Learning Forward's Academy for Staff Developers. Both scholarships are for educators working with large populations of underserved students.
